NO! Don’t ever put any substances on a bird! They can maintain healthy feathers all by themselves. You can spray warm pure water with NOTHING in it to keep the dust down, just use a fine mist and make sure it’s warm in your house.

NO. Their diet is what created healthy feathers. Birds are sensitive and shampoo contains products that could cause a skin reaction. Birds in the wild do not shampoo. Give them a healthy diet and fresh water. When it is warm in the summer, I take my bird outside in a sunny place and spray out his cage. He loves this, but I do not let him stay in the sun for very long and I would never put products on him.

simply put out a saucer of water for them to splash in.
It’s amazing how some people get this far

Is that a joke no way dont put any chemicals on your bird

DO NOT. Birds only need water – shampoo for humans can ruin the birds’ feathers, sting its eyes, and damage its skin. Please spray with clean water of normal-temperature only.

Never use human soaps or shampoos on your bird.

There are many supplements to help your birds maintain their beautiful plumage. Go to DrsFosterSmith.com . They have about 2 pages of different products to help with this.

Good luck.

No, you don’t want to put chemicals of any kind or your bird unless there are specifically indented for birds and there is a specific need for them. You can spray your birds with plain water which will encourage them to preen and will keep there feathers in good shape as long as they have a good diet and no underlying medical problems.

It’s not a good idea to spray anything that will remove the light oil that is on the feathers of all birds. The eyes of the bird will blink alot if it bothers them. Better check with a vet to find a better solution.
