What older movie would you like to see re-made with today’s technology and production techniques?

Written by Bird Watcher on May 29th, 2009

Too Cool For Me asked:

I recently watched The Birds and The Abyss. These movies would be so much better if they had some good special effects and some better acting. Even though older movies are classics, there are some times where the acting could be upgraded. So, which movies would you like to see redone?

ive been watching my budgies and was wondering if i could breed the pair?

Written by Bird Watcher on May 29th, 2009

Olivia U asked:

the female budgie (salsa) seems to always push the male budgie (tango) around but other times they seem to be cleaning each other and feeding each other. my male budgie tango was given to us and is relativley older than my female (salsa) who is 1 year. is it possible to make my birds mate with this age difference and if so how can i tell if they actally ” like” each other
BTW i do relize the amount of time and effort and care i need to put into these baby budgies if i do end up breeding my birds. im not an animal abuser who is just gonna breed my birds for fun and let them die. ive had many pets througout the years and they have been given excelent love and care. so if you are answering my question just to cause problems dont. i just was wondering if i could breed my budgies despite of the age gap between the two birds and their recent habits.

Injured bird, any advice?

Written by Bird Watcher on May 28th, 2009

baroquetea asked:

It’s been one of those days.

I was sitting in the bay window and kind of watching a Cardinal outside, pecking around. Apparently my bedroom window was open (it’s on the basement level with a shelf along the wall, and my cats sunbathe there as well as use it as a door during the day), and my Siamese pounced the poor thing.

Seeing it happen, naturally, I had a mild panic and ran out and saved the thing. His wings seem alright, he’s hopping around, but he lost some feathers and on the whole seems like he needs to recuperate for a day or ten.

I’ve already called my local rehabilitation centre, but it’s past 7PM on a Sunday- no one’s around. I figure I’ll have better luck tomorrow, but I’m worried about how to keep him comfortable through the night. I know nothing about this other than keeping wild birds is illegal and a trained professional would have more success than me in any case.

Any advice would be great– I’m feeling really guilty about the whole ordeal! ):
He passed away around a half hour ago, probably from external injuries. I feel pretty bad about it, but given that it was thundering outside and raining and he was probably a bit more comfortable in a quiet part of the house than he would’ve been out there, it isn’t so bad.

Thanks for your advice, guys. (: I don’t think there was anything I could’ve done that I did not do.
